Alfred Fischer has been a business leader in the energy industry in Canada and around the world for almost 60 years. Starting out as an Exploration Geologist, Alfred has built a long and storied career with extensive experience in international development, exploration, operations, M&A, audit, asset divestitures and governance. Alfred has served as a director and board member for almost 30 companies over his career, with nearly a dozen of them publicly listed. He has founded and scaled enterprises across diverse sectors including mining, renewables, transport, power generation, oil and gas, fuel technology and corporate receivership. Among his many credentials, Alfred holds a B.Sc in Geology (Honours) from the University of British Columbia and APEGA designation as Professional Geologist.
REZZA REZAEI
Rezza Rezaei has been specializing in international trade for over 27 years, with a strong focus on the agricultural sector. Starting from a family farming background, Rezza has developed extensive global experience in business development, market expansion, import / export, customs and regulatory compliance, supply chain optimization, international logistics and client relations. Rezza is also the successful founder and visionary force behind a number of international ventures and his entreprenurial spirit, vision, and determination have continued to deliver proven results time and again. ERROL FISCHER
Errol Fischer's background in operations and logistics stems from his over 20 years of experience in the touring entertainment industry. Errol has a solid track record of successfully managing large scale, operationally complex productions in over 40 countries on 5 continents. Through this very unique line of work, Errol has developed the nuance and insight critical to facilitating complex operations that involve many moving parts. Errol's specialty is planning and execution, with a consistent focus on how to best manage the risks that come with operating on a global stage. Errol was also co-founder of service companies in both the construction and entertainment sectors, and studied Business Management at the University of Phoenix.
KEVEN SKORY
Keven Skory has deep roots in Western Canadian agriculture, having been born into a multi-generational mixed crop and dairy operation in southern Alberta. His extensive networks in both the agricultural and energy sectors are a result of his family's long-standing ties to the land plus his comprehensive background in energy generation developments, including wind, solar, energy storage, and agrivoltaics. Additionally, Keven is dedicated to enhancing sustainability and environmental solutions for producers through his involvement in waste-to-energy and farm waste energy projects. Coupled with the business development skills honed over years in underground utility product manufacturing, along with his keen sense of customer service and meticulous attention to detail, Keven excels as a grain purchasing agent.
DR. DAVID CHALACK, DVM
Dr. David Chalack is a visionary, leader, ambassador and advocate for Canadian agriculture around the world. Raised on a dairy farm in Alberta, David's early veterinary work saw him embrace One Health Initiatives linking the environment, animal health and human health as it relates to sustainable growth. In 1989, David joined Alta Genetics and has spent decades tirelessly promoting Canadian cattle genetics worldwide. A member of the Canadian Institute of Corporate Directors, David has served on countless boards including as Director of Horse Racing Alberta, Board Chair of the Calgary Stampede, Chairman of the Ministerial Advisory Board for the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Chairman of the Alberta Livestock and Meat Agency and currently sits as Board Chair of RDAR, the largest producer-guided fund for agricultural research in Alberta. David is a member of the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame and holds a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Saskatchewan.
PATRICK LO
Patrick Lo has spent more than three decades honing his expertise in the supply chain and logistics business with an unwavering focus on facilitating seamless operations for clients around the world. Through his early positions in sales, operations, and finance, Patrick has developed a comprehensive understanding of global logistics from the ground up. In 2002, Patrick was appointed CEO of Canaan Group, and in collaboration with his brother Perry Lo, proceeded to grow was then a modest family shipping business into a global logistics powerhouse with over 75 partner offices worldwide under their esteemed branded Tandem Global Logistics Network. In 2018 Patrick founded TRAKKING, a software start-up focussed on addressing the critical need for a more efficient management system for empty containers on behalf of the major shipping lines and leading to the digitization of the drayage industry. Canaan Group has now become a truly global leader in the freight forwarding, warehousing and distribution, customs brokerage, and transportation sectors both in Canada and around the world. Patrick holds a Science Degree (Honours) from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
